Infrared camera monitors the driver’s gaze direction, and the sensor on the steering wheel detects the position of the hands. If over time there is no signal from the sensor, or the driver’s view is not directed towards the road, the system provides a special alarm.
Innovative radar SPAD LIDAR.
Toyota new development for automated driving – high resolution laser radar – combines the functions of a radar operating at radio frequency, and a stereo. The device is able to determine the form, the location of objects and distance to them, regardless of time of day.

From a previous version of the automated control system the new device has a more compact size and the ability to place it in the car, rather than on the roof, as it was implemented on the test autonomous vehicles earlier.

The three-dimensional projection display 3D HUD. The innovative Toyota projected onto the windshield of the necessary information in 3D. To view three-dimensional images do not need special glasses or other accessories. On the windshield in 3D displays not only information from regular vehicle systems, but also warnings about the dangers on the road, as well as information on road signs. It is expected that all of these new technologies appear on the Toyota and Lexus vehicles in 2015-2016.
