The new Toyota Crown is presented in the pre-series

One of the most important premieres of the Tokyo motor show for the Japanese is the Toyota Crown sedan of the fifteenth generation. At the show the car is presented in the status of the concept, but in reality the model is ready to go on the assembly line. The release will start only in the summer of 2018.

The visitors could look into the salon. Firstly, the four-door Crown acquired additional windows in the rear pillars of the roof. The interior is done is the classical style. There is offered a massive central tunnel, a fixed selector of the automatics and traditional instruments. The distinguishing element is two-story media system with multi-format displays. There are also electric front seats, rearview camera and leather finishing. The ITS Connect is also included. It allows the car to share data with other cars and street infrastructure. The wheelbase is enlarged from 2,850 to 2,920 mm, so the rear row is much more spacious.

The new Crown retained the classic layout: the sedan was created on the TNGA architecture and has much in common with the Lexus LS model of the new generation. The driver’s character is expected, as the cars are driven at the Nurburgring.
