Turns out, 130 000 Toyota Tundra pickup trucks don’t function correctly, that’s why Toyota Motor Corp is recalling these models. The reason is an incorrectly installed plastic panel between the front and rear doors. It brought on problems with the side airbags which are installed above the windows and might not deploy appropriately.

The automaker finds it a serious drawback, because the side airbags are installed to provide a head protection in case of a side impact crash. This defect was revealed during the crash tests. There is no information about injured people, but the Japan automaker is going to send letters to the owners of Tundras asking to consult the closest dealer center of Toyota, and to make sure that everything is installed properly and there is no danger. They will replace incorrectly installed details.
