Results of Year End 2012

As the year 2012 is already over, and Toyota, as majority of automakers, is planning to take an aggressive expansion approach in the year 2013, it was quite interesting for us to learn, how did the year 2012 passed for it. Therefore today we have taken the national American research data about number of sales and will present it to you. Sales of new cars in the U.S. in 2012 all in all increased by up to 13 percent – to a total of 14.49 million units. This is the third consecutive year, which resulted in the increased of demand for new cars in the United States, which was equal to more than 10 percent.

The most successful brand for the year was the “Ford”, which over 12 months has sold of 2.16 million vehicles. However, the title of the largest automaker while still be kept by General Motors: all brands, in this group, have sold a total of 2.595 million units. Group Toyota (Toyota, Lexus and Scion) ranks third with sales index 2.082 million cars.

The third place is not that bad we think! In the more detailed survey it became known that the most successful and popular car model that actually helped the automaker to reach that high was Toyota Camry. Huge expansion campaign, fierce advertising all resulted in making Toyota Camry the number one car of the year 2012.
