Mid-size pickup Toyota Tacoma gets a new chassis and engine
According to the Toyota Company, its mid-size pickup Toyota Tacoma will get a new chassis and engine.
Japanese brand Toyota has created a new version of the midsize pickup truck Tacoma.
The car is designed for the North American market. Premiere of a new generation has taken place at the Detroit Auto Show.
According to the manufacturer, Toyota Tacoma, we can say, was constructed anew. The car is built on a new platform, the suspension has acquired new nodes and frame construction is made of high-strength and “ultrastrong” steel, so the body is more rigid and light.
Japanese Toyota Tacoma has a mild stroke on the paved surface, in comparison with competitors Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. The car is equipped with the same four-cylinder gasoline engine 2.7-liter or a new 3.5-liter V6 engine with a combined injection D-4S, which runs on the Atkinson cycle. Though, the company has not yet reported about the power of the new car.
For both engines will be provided a new six-step automatic gear box and masthead unit will work with the six-step mechanic transmission. The car is available as a rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive system.
