Toyota C-HR SUV turned into a sports car

Especially for the 2017 SEMA Show, Toyota Company has prepared a 600-hp version of the C-HR crossover. The project involved specialists from DG-Spec, who worked on creating track versions of other models from Toyota brand. The tuning car has got the modified 2.4-liter Camry engine with Garrett turbocharger with 1.6-bar boost pressure instead of the basic 2.0-liter one. The power output increased to 600 horses. The unit is mated to a 5-speed Toyota E-Series mechanics.

In addition, the new crossover received a racing adjustable suspension, OS Giken self-locking LSD on the front axle, a special exhaust system and engine management system AEM, intercooler and 18-inch wheels with Toyo Proxes RR DOT track tires. The C-HR R-Tuned is also provided by splitter in front and wing at rear, carbon elements of the aerodynamic body kit and hood. All this upgrades allow the sports car to accelerate to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.

An updated compact C-HR R-Tuned showed the result of 1 minute 25.22 seconds on Willow Springs International Raceway with a four-km distance in California and crossed the cars such as Porsche 911 GT3 RS, McLaren 650S Spyder and Nissan GT-R Nismo.
