Toyota Takes Back the Title of Largest Automaker
Japanese auto giant Toyota will regain the title of the world’s largest automaker for the past year, well, it is still the current year, but we hope that you understood tha we are talking about the year 2012. Currently, a record for Toyota was set back in 2007, when it sold not less not more than 9.37 million vehicles worldwide. This year, the Japanese automaker ise going to establish a new achievement – 9.75 million vehicles of Toyota brand sold, and these numbers are projected to be achieved before the end of December.
In the first three quarters of this year the largest producer in the world by the results of the end of 2011 – GM – sold 6.95 million vehicles. Only 50 thousand cars less were sold by VAG. Toyota for the first three quarters has already sold more than 7.4 million vehicles. By the way, the main management of Volkswagen intends to significantly increase the production volume / realization in the year 2013. According to the manufacturer, the following year volumes of cars sold will be increased to 600 thousand cars a year, which is higher than the increase in the production of GM and Toyota combined.
